HOW TO GET RID OF PIMPLES 2017

  1. Do not touch or pop the pimple. It will only make the pimple more obvious and risk infection and scarring. Instead, take up the following routine, twice a day, until it disappears.
  2. 2
Wash your hands thoroughly before you touch your face.
  3. 3
Wash your face gently but thoroughly with a mild, medicated soap and warm water.

    • The water shouldn't be steaming hot; it should be just a little warm.
    • Do not use a washcloth, as the scrubbing action could distribute bacteria to other parts of your face. Use your hands.
    • Wash for about 30 seconds.
  4. 4
Pat your skin dry with a towel.
    • Always pat; don't wipe or rub. Wiping can move bacteria on your face and spread it by redistributing it in other places.
  5. 5
Apply mandelic acid, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid topical cream on the pimple. Mandelic acid has antibacterial properties which will kill the acne causing bacteria, Propionibacterium acnes." If the spot is under the skin surface and hurts when touched, use benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic Acid should work well for all other acne spots.
  6. 6
After topical treatment is dry, apply a basic face moisturizer (preferably allergy-tested, fragrance free, and oil free). Without moisturizing, the skin around the pimple can dry and irritate your skin, possibly making the pimple more inflamed and noticeable. Some contain a mild sunscreen, which is often recommended with some acne washes and medications.
  7. 7
Cover the pimple with medicated concealer (optional).
  8. 8
Dermabrasion removes the redness. A simple natural home remedy for this is to use the skin inside of an egg shell. Google "dermabrasion with eggs".

Preventing Acne

  1. 1
Learn how to prevent acne in the first place, so that you stop that next monster pimple before it even starts.
  2. 2
    Moisturize daily.
  3. 3
Have a healthy diet. Too many junk foods will cause your hormones to go all crazy, and make up break out even more. Eat your 7 servings of fruit and vegetables a day, and try to exercise.

Edit Tips

  • Drink water.
  • Hands off your face! Do not touch or pick at your spot; this will not help it to go away faster.
  • Don't use too many chemical products on your skin. Even though it says, "helps with breakouts," it can dry your skin and make it even worse.
  • Also ice your pimple for 2 minutes as it will reduce the swelling.
  • Make sure you don't touch your face! Keep your hands away from your face. Make sure you wash your pillow cases every week.
  • Wear sunblock (oil-free) on a sunny day, as pimples are raw skin and sunburn will worsen it.
  • Apply moisterizer when your face is damp as your skin is going to take in the moisterizer and not sit on your face which will cause you to breakout even more.
  • Don't obsess over the occasional pimple. Most ridicule that seemingly stems from "poor looks" is actually targeted at perceived emotional vulnerabilities. If you don't make a big deal about it, people will not notice it. Even for the "horrifying" pimples, sure, people may give you some funny looks, but they'll quickly get used to it and won't pay them any attention. Keep in mind that to any sane human, gossiping about someone's pimple is not the most riveting of conversation topics, so don't feel paranoid that people are secretly laughing at you. Everyone gets a few pimples when they're growing up, so don't expect that much interest, as you are most definitely not a unique case.
    • If someone makes fun of you because of your pimple, just laugh it off. Sulking/yelling will only make ridiculing you entertaining for those doing it. If you act like it doesn't bother you, you'll be left alone.
  • Homeopathic alternatives include tea tree oil, baking soda paste (mix with a little water, apply and let dry), and witch hazel.
  • Use natural products like honey, which is good for many things, such as your health, hair, and skin. Use "PURE" honey, apply it on your face, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes
  • If infection starts to occur, consult your doctor/dermatologist.
  • If you are to use pimples cream, try and use natural brands and not chemical filled ones. They only agitate pimples.
  • Keep your pillowcase clean! Wash it every 4-5 days.
  • Clean your hands before touching your face.
